Starrsed RS ESR analyser

Manufactured by the Dutch RR Mechatronics, the Starrsed RS ESR analyser automatically determines the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) directly from an EDTA tube using the Westergren method.

The Starrsed RS analyser uses the same sample racks as automated haematology systems, enabling the simultaneous loading of up to 60 samples into the sampling unit. The sampling unit mixes each sample optimally and takes care of citrate dilution and pipetting fully automatically, allowing employees to focus on other tasks. Up to 84 samples can be analysed at the same time and, as a result of the 30-minute version of the Westergren method, roughly 135 results can be completed in an hour, which is more than enough to respond to hospital laboratories’ peak hours.
