Solana instrument and HDA tests

Simple and fast molecular testing without sacrificing performance

Solana instrument (QuidelOrtho, USA) uses HDA method that enables fast detection of different viruses and bacteria. Helicase dependent amplification, HDA, is an isothermal nucleic acid amplification method where amplification happens in a stable temperature.

Solana instrument

Solana is a small and lightweight molecular diagnostics instrument with an integrated touchscreen. Results are generated in as fast as in 35 minutes. Simple result interpretation is displayed on the touchscreen, can be printed, or sent to LIS. The instrument is CE-IVD marked.

Solana tests

Solana tests are run in Solana instrument as a batch of 1-12 samples in one run. Method includes an easy sample pretreatment.  All tests are CE-IVD marked. For example, the unique Strep Complete assay provides a diagnostic tool to replace the culture method.

Rapid in vitro diagnostic test for the qualitative detection of Group A β-hemolytic Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes), and pyogenic Group C/G (Streptococcus dysgalactiae) nucleic acids isolated from throat swab specimens.
