Molzym SelectNA plus microbial DNA extraction device

Using the Molzym method and DNA-free reagents, pure DNA from bacterial and fungal pathogens can be isolated even from challenging sample materials, particularly from samples of sterile areas. This method removes human DNA from the sample, making it suitable especially for sequencing.

For clinical microbiology applications, Molzym offers CE-IVD marked automated microbial nucleic acid extraction and workflows for Sanger sequencing. The MolYsis-SNplus IVD kit is designed for automated human DNA degradation and microbial DNA isolation using the SelectNA plus device. The Micro-Dx CE IVD kit includes nucleic acid DNA isolation with the SelectNA plus device and reagents for Sanger sequencing of 16S and 18S rRNA genes. These products can be used for example in identifying the causative agents of sepsis, endocarditis, arthritis, and meningitis.
