STA Compact Max coagulation analyser

STA Compact Max, manufactured by Diagnostica Stago, is a fully automated coagulation analyser for the needs of medium-sized laboratories. The STA Compact Max analyser is capable of performing assays based on the measurement of coagulation time, as well as chromogenic and immunological assays.

Patented measuring method

The STA Compact Max analyser´s method of measuring the coagulation time is based on the mechanical registration of the viscosity change patented by Stago. Unlike optical methods, viscosity based detection system (VBDS) ensures that haemolytic, lipemic or icteric properties of the sample do not affect the results, which creates savings by reducing repeated phlebotomy and retesting without sacrificing the quality of the results.

Capacity and performance for many needs

The apparatus has sample positions for 96 primary tubes and reagent positions for 45 reagent bottles of different sizes. The built-in barcode scanner identifies samples, reagents and reads the precalibration of routine tests printed on the barcode sheets, which makes changing the reagent lot quick, effortless and completely free of calibrators. Reagents and samples can be smoothly added during the analysis, and the analyser can prioritise STAT samples over everything else.

The STA Compact Max has an easy-to-use Windows interface and can be connected bidirectionally to LIS/HIS systems according to the ASTM protocol.

The device can be customised with intermediate data systems, cap piercing and an HIL sensor.
